HaFSA Institute of Barak Valley Studies, an initiative of Hafsa Foundation for Social Advancement (HaFSA). Barak Valley of Assam is an unique region of Assam with its distinct history, culture, demography and geography. Hafsa Foundation wants to preserve the unique feature of Barak Valley region. 

 

HaFSA  Institute  of Barak Valley studies will collect books on history, literature, culture of Barak Valley and school/college souvenirs, old land documents, sanads, manuscripts etc. of Barak Valley to make the Institute a focal point for scholars, researchers, academicians and intelligentsia. Authors, bookstalls, libraries and owners of such books and documents are requested kindly to help the Institute in collecting the books and documents on payment or as gift.

The Institute will also publish a peer reviewed ISSN “Journal of Barak Valley Studies” annually. The Institute invites suggestions and guidance from scholars, researchers and academicians.

The  will also publish  books on history and culture of Barak Valley.
